This area of ministry is an essential support to other groups run at the church, offering both physical and prayer support, as well as to the broader community directly.
Just a few of the ways this is done:
Providing delicious home cooked meals, cakes and slices to people within the Church family as support in times of need.
Cards and notes of acknowledgement sent out for special occasions and also for encouragement and support.
Intouch Carers Team
Dedicated people who keep in touch with those unwell or frail by phone, email and visitation whether at home or in hospital. This sometimes can also include general support such as assisting with shopping or car pickup for Church Services.
A small pantry of tinned / packet foods and frozen meals provided by the generous donations of the church congregation to provide assistance to those needing a hand.
A group of people committed to pray for urgent and specific prayer requests which are treated as confidential.
Weekly distribution of fruit and veggie food parcels to assist those in need, both within the Frankston Community and within our church family. This is done in conjunction with the Salvation Army’s “Second Bite” program.
see separate page under ministry.
Kids Hope Ministry
Sponsored by World Vision “Kids Hope” is a National program, where trained adult mentors share an hour a week, one on one, with a child from a nominated local primary school. New mentors are always needed.
Staying In Touch (SIT) Lunch
An annual lunch (around August) for both those “Cared for” and the “Carers”. Attended by families from mainly music, our members from Nursing Homes and many of our church family. A great lunch, and a time of fun and fellowship
An annual weekend away to relax, be refreshed and strengthen relationships with other ladies and with God. Nothing too heavy and a weekend not to be missed.
A number of food and gift hampers are prepared and distributed to families needing some support within the broader community to help lighten the load and share some joy at Christmas.
